Community and Systems Insights

The National Child Welfare Center for Innovation and Advancement (NCWCIA) is reimagining how jurisdictions engage and integrate the perspectives of individuals and communities with direct experience in child- and family-serving systems. Through our Community and Systems Insights (CSI) workstream, we support States and Territories in bringing real-world insight into planning, implementation, and continuous quality improvement.

Our CSI strategists have lived experience and contribute across NCWCIA’s core services. They work alongside jurisdictions to codevelop solutions that reflect the strengths, experiences, and ideas of families and communities, ensuring that those most impacted have a meaningful role in shaping system improvements. CSI strategists partner directly with State and jurisdictional teams through our Tailored Data-Driven Assistance team, codesign peer learning opportunities with our Peer Innovation and Insight Networking Groups, and contribute to the development of tools, resources, and products in collaboration with our Universal Information and Insight Resources team. CSI strategists also support NCWCIA’s Child and Family Services Review (CFSR), Prevention, and Workforce workstreams. These strategists bring credibility, relational trust, and systems knowledge to every engagement, helping to strengthen community connections and support change efforts that are grounded, relevant, and responsive. Whether your jurisdiction is enhancing prevention, strengthening its service array, or implementing CFSR priorities, NCWCIA’s CSI workstream can help ensure solutions are informed by those with lived experience.
