Description

The Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) program is a Federal initiative designed to prevent child maltreatment, support families in safely caring for their children, and promote permanency for children in foster care. Administered by the Children’s Bureau, the program provides funding to State child welfare agencies and eligible Tribes to develop integrated, community-based services. It includes both mandatory and discretionary funding components to enhance family stability and child welfare outcomes.
